IT is that time of year again when Flame Lily Park hosts its biggest fundraiser, with the annual October Fête taking place on Saturday, October 10.
The community is encouraged to support the event, which has already reached its target of 100 stalls.
Organiser Jane Britz said the October Fête has become an annual favourite among residents and locals, who come to browse, shop and enjoy the entertainment.

“Funds raised from the event will go towards the upkeep and upgrading of the retirement home. The fête keeps getting better each year. This year, we will have entertainment, music, a tea garden, children’s entertainment and, of course, numerous stalls with an assortment of items on offer,” she said.
Stallholders will have delicious food, clothing, arts and crafts and much more on sale, while the various charity shops will also be open.
“Book and music lovers will appreciate that we have a wide range of literature available for sale in our library. Supporters love the food stalls, and our tea garden, with all its delicious beverages and goodies, is a firm favourite.
“Come hungry, because there will be cakes, puddings, brekkie rolls, wors rolls, pancakes and much more on sale,” said Britz.
She added that the fête also provides an opportunity for small businesses to showcase and market their products and services.
“We look forward to seeing family, friends, colleagues and the community at large on the day.”
Everyone is welcome. The event will run from 08:00 to 13:00. Entry is free, and ample parking is available.
The fundraiser is Flame Lily Park’s biggest fundraising event of the year and helps support the upkeep of the home, which is home to approximately 400 residents.
