New Germany BC

Men’s meat pairs, sponsored by Dirk’s Meats, Gillitts: First Alan Reich and Don Williams; second Neville Knott and Vernon Smith.

First session: Ralph Spark and Nick Cloete.

Second session: Piet Bantjies and George Parker.

Sportsman’s prize: Sheldon Milfull and Craig Gradidge.

Nominated mixed pairs will be played on Saturday, 28 February at 9am.Game format: 2-4-2 and whites, R20 per person.

Inter-pub social challenge, sponsored by Brand House will be played on Sunday, 1 March at 9am. Game format: nominated mixed fours, or individuals who will be allocated to a team. Dress code: mufti (casual) and flat shoes.

Bowls will be available for those who do not have; entry fee is R20 per person. Contact Charlie Robinson on 073 253 4156.

Hillcrest BC

The following teams reached the fifth round of the Port Natal trips tournament: J Clark, L Harrison and J Martinho; M Rabie, W Budd and H Arnett; H Gibson, D Blades and S Geldenhuys. J Broadbent, C Murray and R Wepener reached the quarter-finals.

SpecSavers/Eldorado Spur monthly women’s trips: First L Greeff, T Trail and B Walker 4+21; second I Broughton, E Woodcock and H Arnett 2+11.

Chiltern Park BC

Warwick men’s pairs, Monday, 16 February: First Paddy O’Brien and Roy Muller 2+28; second Neville Knight and J Semple 2+22.

Gillitts BC

Congratulations to Eugenie Gammie, Sue Fox and Jenny Cooper for reaching the quarter final stage of the Port Natal women’s trips competition this last weekend.

Lahee Park BC

Bernadette Atkins’ 2-4-2: First Mike Sim and Sandra Moores 4+12; second Neil Logue and Bryan Paradies 4+6.

Second session: Bob Hills and Hans Stokes 2+12.

Notice: Reminder that the men’s competitions from last year to be finished by Saturday, 28 February. Fourways Kwikspar women’s trips will be played on Wednesday, 4 March – book in by 8.45am. Muscle and Fitness will be played on Friday, 6 March – book in by 8.30am.

Westville BC

Gippie Vermeulen, Roger Boulle and Gawie Lessing lost 14-11 in the final of the Port Natal trips.

Bruce Makkink, Marius Roux and Alan du Toit were beaten in the quarter finals, while Marsha McCrimmon, Yvonne Inglis and Trudie Claasen lost in the women’s quarter finals.
