Local Sensei beats the best

LOCAL Sensei, Kelvin Daniels from Budo Karate-do SA, represented KwaZulu-Natal at the Senior Veterans’ and Masters’ Karate South Africa National Championships held in Potchefstroom recently.

Kelvin proved his worth by being the only member of the KZN team to come home with a gold medal.

“The competition was very tough, boasting the largest number of entries at a senior national’s ever,” he said.

Kelvin won the masters’ Kata division and went on to come second in the masters’ Kumite (free fighting) division as well. He puts his success down to hard work, dedication and his passion for the sport.
