Keagan cycles up a storm

THOMAS More College’s primary school pupil, Keagan Brand, was chosen as its SPAR Star of the Month.

The Grade 5 pupil is a passionate cyclist and this year Keagan moved from nippers to Sprogs and participates in cross country (MTB), down hill, enduro and track racing. Last year he was awarded his KZN colours as well as the SA champs jersey for downhill.

He competed in and was placed as follows:

In cross country he competed in the KZN cup series and placed second and he also took part in the Nationals cup series where he took fourth place.

He took part in the down hill Provincial Cup series, the Provincial Championship, the National Cup series and National Championship, taking first place in each event.

In enduro he took first palce in the Provincial cup series and the provincial championship while in the track school series and teh Spur school series he placed second.

Keagan recently competed in the SA cup series for down hill in Cape Town and was placed second in Sprogs.
