Tiandra puts her best cricket foot forward

Tiandra Albert is Highway College's SPAR Star of the Month.

TIANDRA Albert dreams of being a skilled cricket player and gynaecologist one day.

She is a diligent learner who goes the extra mile and achieves excellent results which is the reason she was chosen as Highway College’s September SPAR Star of the Month.

At the age of six, she was spotted playing mini cricket and was invited to play for the Chatsworth United women’s team.

Playing club cricket has given her a lot of exposure and the opportunity to play alongside two SA team mates, Trisha Chetty and Dinesha Devnarain.

When she turned eight, Tiandra was encouraged to try out for KZN U13 girls team, representing Durban South. Last year, at the age of 10 she made the team.

Her recipe for success is to ‘Put God first, do your best, stay focused and never give up.’

The school is very proud of Tiandra.
