THE Open Door Crisis Centre received a generous donation to the value of R32 000 from a local NPO, everyONEcounts.
The registered non-profit and public benefit organisation, everyONEcounts, raised funds during a recent art exhibition, at the KZN SA Arts Café, for the Human trafficking Awareness campaign. Local and international artists donated artworks and the proceeds from the sales of the artwork were donated to two beneficiaries, one of which is the Open Door Crisis Centre.
everyONEcounts raises awareness and funds through the vehicle of art. Its reach is both national and international, and its current campaign ‘SpeakART against Human Trafficking’ addresses the reality of the human trafficking industry, while providing hope for those affected.
The various organisations and groups involved in the fight against human trafficking, rely heavily on public awareness.
