16 injured in N3 collision
The cause of the collision remains under police investigation.
A BAKKIE carrying 16 people collided with a truck on the N3 Durban bound just after the Pavilion around 8.30pm on Sunday.
Rescue Care paramedics who arrived at the scene said it was total chaos. They reported that the bakkie collided with the truck before rolling several times ejecting most of its passengers onto the roadway.
The paramedics immediately called for more ambulances, ER24 and EMRS to assist with the number of people injured. Once all of the injured had been stabilised on the scene they were taken to various Durban hospitals.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision, however SAPS is still investigating.
