Prost! to Gartenfest
Activities will take place in both the church gardens and in the new multi-purpose hall.
GO along and enjoy loads of fun and entertainment at the Gartenfest/German Festival at the Church of the Redeemer, Lutheran Church, 1 Church Road in Assagay on Saturday, 30 May from 10am to 4pm.
Activities will take place in both the church gardens and in the new multi-purpose hall. There will be meat-on the-spit, Eisbein, a fantastic variety of salads (lunch served from 12pm), tea, filter coffee and homemade cakes in the Kaffeestube, Kartoffelpuffer (potato fritters), cakes, Butterkuchen and homemade breads to buy. Rollmops and German meat specialities, such as Mettwurst, Leberwurst and biltong, will also be on offer.
A garden/plant stall, a brass band and a variety of children’s entertainment, such as a jumping castle, games and tombola, will keep attendees occupied. Adults can enjoy draught beer, wine, cool drinks and ‘Deutsche GemÜtlichkeit’.
