GALLERY: High schools receive awards

Two prominent Kathorus high schools have made it to the top of the recent sixth Mmino wa Clap-N-Tap 2020 Awards and the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards 2020.

Educators, mentors, parents and members of the public all received a hefty pat on the back for their respective roles in making it possible for learners from Alafang and Ponego high schools in Kathorus to make history in the Clap-N-Tap School developmental programme and win the two prestigious national awards.

And now that their newly released album is available, proceeds from the sales of the recorded music will be channelled towards learners and mentors, music education, skills development and wellness programmes.

“We invite the communities of Kathorus to join hands with us to continue reaching out and assisting us in doing what we can, to positively impact and add value on the lives of pupils to be a better society,” explained event coordinator Moss Gama.
