WATCH: 2 Ekurhuleni employees arrested for a stealing municipal TLB

The TLB went missing from Ekurhuleni’s depot and was traced to the two employees of the municipality.

EMPD officers arrested two men for stealing a City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) TLB (tractor-loader-backhoe).

The suspects, caught on the morning of February 3, are both employees of the municipality.

It is understood the TLB went missing in December. The city roped in EMPD to investigate the matter. The investigation revealed the employees, accused of stealing the TLB, allegedly were doing private commercial work using the city’s stolen TLB.

After weeks of thorough investigating, law enforcement agencies finally pounced on the suspects at the Brakpan Roads depot.
