Vosloorus water repairs cause disruptions
Ongoing repairs at Extension 9 Reservoir lead to low pressure and outages, with full restoration expected by March 31.

The City of Ekurhuleni has notified residents in parts of Vosloorus about ongoing repairs at the Vosloorus Extension 9 Reservoir.
According to city spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the maintenance work is causing low water pressure and, in some cases, no water during peak hours and high-demand periods.
Dlamini said repairs are expected to be completed by Monday, March 31. In the meantime, the water supply is being managed through smaller reservoirs in the area.
“Some residents will experience disruptions, with portions of Vosloorus Extension 2 facing a complete water outage, while those in Extensions 11, 13, and 28 will have low water pressure,” he said.
“To assist affected residents, roving water tankers have been deployed to various locations, including Zakhe Road, Zathu Road, Dikgwading Street, Tsie Road, Douglas Montseng Road, Xabashe, Sepeng Street, Mbatha Road, and Lenao Cl,” Dlamini added.
