Calling all animal-loving primary school learners

The search is on for the most impressive poster that encourages the protection and adoration of our animals

THE Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is back again with their annual primary school poster competition.

The organisation is once again inviting children from all primary schools in Kempton Park to join them in their quest to raise awareness on animal cruelty, through art.

The initiative also aims to generate funds towards the cause.

In order to enter the competition, children must create a striking poster that sends a message about the importance of caring for animals and showing kindness, along with compassion towards them.

Adding a catchy slogan or title may assist in getting the message across.

The poster must be A2 or A3 size, and any medium such as crayons, pens, paint, ink and others may be used to create the poster.

One can enter as many times as they wish and donations are be included with submissions.

Each entry must also include: name, age, surname, grade, school’s name, email address as well as the learner or school’s telephone number.

The entry category should also be included, for example category 1 is Grades 1 and 2; category 2 is Grades 3 to 5 and category 3 is Grades 6 and 7.

The posters will be displayed on the AACL JHB Facebook page and winners will also be announced there.

There are also amazing prizes to be won. The first prize for all categories is R2 000 and the school with the most entries will receive a Canon Laser Multifunctional printer and one set of cartridges to the value of R6 999.

Entries cane be to be sent to AACL Johannesburg Society, PO Box 7, Rosettenville, 2130, Gauteng or 59 Alice Street, Regents Park, Johannesburg.
