CPF collects 12 000 litres of water for Kroonstad

The Croydon CPF would like to thank everyone who helped collect water

CROYDON residents came together to collect water for Kroonstad in the Free State.

The project was initiated by the Croydon CPF and saw residents of Croydon and Edenvale come together to collect water.

Raymond Uren, a Croydon resident and employee of Hydac Hydraulic, organised for his company to sponsor two trips to Kroonstad on May 28 and June 18 where over 12 000 litres of drinking water were delivered.

THE learners at St Dunstan’s College in Benoni also helped collect lots of bottles of water.

The Croydon CPF, chaired by Martin Scott, would like to thank everyone who helped collect water. Every single drop was appreciated.

“We want to send a big thank you to Mrs SJ Cross and her pupils at St Dunstan’s College in Benoni, Stephen Epstein and Mamba Primrose for also donating water and Renee Mott for arranging with Senwes Kroonstad to take delivery of the water,” Croydon CPF said.

“We also want to thank Succulent Seafoods and Kreeolan and Indy Dorasamy and others who acted as collection points for the water over the past few weeks.”

Kroonstad is the third largest city of the Free State province. It is one of the areas in the country that has been severely affected by SA’s drought.
