Local businessman donates to the needy pupils
Through honouring his pledge in helping disadvantaged families in the communities, Mr Musi wanted to give back to the community that supports his business in Tswelopele Extension.
The owner of T-Exclusive Boutique, based at Tswelopele Extension, Mr Tshepo Musi, donated 16 pairs of school shoes to pupils at Mpumelelo Primary School last Friday September 9.
Honouring his pledge to help disadvantaged families Mr Musi wanted to give back to the community that supports his business in Tswelopele Extension.
“It is the very same community that makes it possible for me to survive as an entrepreneur. They are my customers and I am also returning the favour,” said Mr Musi.
Mr Musi emphasised that as a Christian, it is his responsibility to look after the children of God in need.
“I am appealing to local business people to donate what they can to help uplift needy families. It is said that the hand that gives is the hand that receives. The shoes may not be much but it will make a difference to the many who can’t afford it,” added Mr Musi.
When the beneficiaries received the donated school shoes, it was evident that there are still hundreds of school pupils who are desperately in need of full proper school uniform. Some of the pupils came to school with their casual shoes while other had torn school shoes.
Mpumelelo Primary School acting principal, Ntombifuthi Mhlongo, said they are thankful for the donation as it will make a difference in the young lives in need.
“We are very thankful to have such thoughtful people as Mr Musi. We appreciate what he has done for our school. We would appreciate it if other business people could join in helping those in need and improving the community,” added Ms Mhlongo.
Members from Community Work Programme (CWP), MegaMart centre manager Mr Andreas Mathe and the school governing body (SGB) attended the donation.
