Arebaokeng Hospice’s doors are still open

Residents are encouraged to refer patients with pain to Arebaokeng Hospice.

Arebaokeng Hospice assures Tembisa residents that its doors remain wide open and they are ready to serve the community.

The assurance comes after a misleading information broadcast on SABC on May 18 (https://bit.ly/Arebaokeng).

Founder of Arebaokeng Hospice Flora K. Modiba said she wishes to rectify the misunderstood message broadcast by SABC.

“The broadcast said Arebaokeng Hospice has closed down . That is not the case. Arebaokeng Hospice closed the in-patient unit only.

“We are providing home-based care for cancer patients to control their pain and give the families technical advice,” said Modiba.

She added that residents are encouraged to refer patients with pain to Arebaokeng Hospice.

“It is cruel to stay with cancer patients who cannot sleep because of pain.

“We would like to be of service to the community.

“Our contact number is 083 956 8785 or 011 025 0702.”
