Young designer aims to accomplish his dreams
Tembisa designer stands out in the face space.
Tembisa designer assures fashion fanatics that his designer clothes are the best on Kasi streets.
Nkululeko Janini, also known as Erratic The Designer, dropped out of fashion design school due to financial challenges, but that could not stop him from realising his dream.
This young man’s work is branded as Erratic, which Janini explains as an unpredictable taste in fashion style.
“I am mostly inspired by the music I listen to and my surroundings in the hood.
“I also look up to designers eKasi who are hustling on the streets,” said Janini.
He said his target market is streetwise people between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
Janini believes people within that age group are most likely to identify with his style of designs.
When asked about the challenges he faces, Janini said he is working alone, so he sometimes falls behind on deadlines when he has a huge workload.
“Five years from now I will be in a different space in terms of creativity.
“I will have improved a lot,” said Janini.
He said he is also inspired by people like David Tlale and fashion influencers like Scoop Makhathini.
