WATCH: Women at Marmanet made to feel special

The morning started with the women at the centre being treated to tea with cake and finger snacks.

Tender, love and care inspired the Women’s Day celebrations at Marmanet Unique Lifestyle Centre.

The centre is under new management and was previously referred to as the Marmanet Frail Care.

The morning started with the women at the centre being treated to tea with cake and finger snacks.

“We just wanted to make them feel special and appreciated because they truly are,” said Sonja Venter, CEO of the centre.

“We also had volunteers who were willing to assist and also received donations towards the event, which we are truly grateful for.”

Some of the family members of the residents also attended the pamper session and spent time with their loved ones.

The eats were followed by foot and hand massages, which were well appreciated. Express also heard some of the residents saying that they had never received such treatment in their lives before.

Gratitude filled the eyes of the women who were happy to relax and be pampered.

The residents and staff members also received a goodie bag each.

“Thank you to everyone who supported this day and helped make it the success it turned out to be. Thank you to my dedicated staff, our volunteers and to Fedics for donating one of the cakes,” said Venter.

“It is important is to reassure our residents just how important and special they are.”

The residents also received hand and foot massages as part of the Women’s Day pamper treatment.
