DA announces its constituency leaders

They conduct oversight of government programmes, meet with the public and discuss issues

The DA has announced its constituency leaders for Gauteng East for the next five years.

This follows on from the national elections earlier this year.

Parliament and the provincial legislature set aside regular periods for members of parliament (MPs) and members of the provincial legislatures (MPLs) to spend time in their constituencies to do constituency work.

During this period, they conduct oversight of government programmes, meet with the public, discuss issues and find solutions to problems.

The eight new constituency leaders for Gauteng East are:

Mike Waters – Kempvale

Haseena Ismail – Benoni

Ashor Sarupen – Springs, Nigel, Brakpan

Michele Clark Germiston

Ghaleb Cachalia – Kwathema, Duduza

Mathew Cuthbert – Daveyton

Refiloe Nt’sekhe – Tembisa South

Lebo More – Katlehong South
