Aluncedo and Sakhumzi Siboto are desperately hoping to find their missing son Lutho (14).
Lutho was last seen leaving his home on Piet-My-Vrou Avenue in Birch Acres on Saturday night (September 7).
According to his father, Lutho went missing after an altercation between them.
“Him and I were arguing about missing calculators and I asked him to come with me so we can discuss it further, but he didn’t follow me,” said Sakhumzi.
“I went to check where he was, but that was when we realised he was gone.”
After looking for him in the house and yard, Sakhumzi drove around most of the night looking for Lutho. Sakhumzi also went to some of his son’s friends during the early hours of Sunday morning, but they told him they hadn’t seen Lutho.
A missing person’s report was opened at Norkem Park SAPS on Sunday.
Lutho, who is a Grade Eight learner at Rhodesfield High School, left his cellphone at home and also didn’t report for school on Monday.
“We went to his school, hoping he might have gone there, but he didn’t,” a distraught Sakhumzi told Express on Monday morning.
“Some of his close friends were also not at school and we hope that maybe he is with them. It is not the same without him; we love and miss him and want him safely back home.
“We can’t live without him, he is our only child. Lutho, if you read this, please come back home, boy. If anyone has seen him or know about his whereabouts, please let us know.”
Lutho was wearing a dark green and black hoodie with navy blue track pants and blue sneakers.
He is about 1.6m tall, slim in build and has a short haircut.
Anyone who has seen him or know about his whereabouts can contact Sakhumzi on 079 650 4680 or Aluncedo on 079 295 1893.
