Free health screenings offered at Kanana Community Hall

Rotary Family Health Days aims to bring free integrated health services to communities across South Africa.

The Rotary Club of Kyalami and Gauteng Department of Health will host the annual Rotary Family Health Days campaign at Kanana Community Hall in Rabie Ridge from October 2 to 4.

Now in its seventh year, Rotary Family Health Days aims to bring free integrated health services to communities across South Africa as part of a joint collaboration between Rotary and the Department of Health.

Members of the communities attending the event at Kanana Community Hall will receive free health services, including the following:

• HIV testing and counselling

• TB screening and testing

• Diabetes screening

• Hypertension screening

• Provision of contraceptives

• Immunisations

• Hepatitis screening

• Cancer screening

• Hearing tests

Health education and information for men, adolescent girls and young women, drug and substance abuse counselling and healthy lifestyle education will also be offered. Additional services include migration and social security advice from the Department of Social Development.
