Comedy galore at Nkukza’s Comedy Picnic

Nkululeko Phiri celebrated his 27th birthday by hosting Nkukza's Comedy Picnic.

Nkululeko Phiri celebrated his 27th birthday with laughter when he hosted Nkukza’s Comedy Picnic at Mahlangu Sports Ground in Ivory Park Extension Seven on September 14.

This hilarious event was feature one of Mzansi’s best in comedy from Soweto, Tembisa, Ivory Park and underground up-and-coming comedians. Among the performing artists were Mdoku, Double Blacks, Phiri, King Sbuda and Mbali.

Phiri said they wanted to bring something different to the community, something that will give other people a platform to showcase what they have and introduce comedy in a different way, hence the picnic.

“It was every successful. I was expecting at least 120 people, but attendance was way more. Even after the show people still wanted more,” said Phiri.
