Bongane Isaac Sibisi is an aspiring motivational speaker and author of three books.

Bongane Isaac Sibisi, from Ivory Park, is an aspiring motivational speaker and author who released his book, The Power of Mind, in 2015.

The author of two unreleased books, Leading Yourself to Destiny and The Hustle of a Black Child aims to reach his target sales of 10 000 copies of his first published book.

A social entrepreneur, Sibisi started working as a griller at Spur restaurant with the intention of saving money to further his studies after matric.

According to Sibisi, such jobs could be used as stepping stones towards fulfilling a dream.

After struggling for a long time and saving money, he managed to register and complete his diploma in customer management at MSC Business College in Midrand and he never stopped learning. He then completed a few courses, like business management, entrepreneurship, financial management, master trainer, assessor, information technology and supervision of civil construction. He also worked for three years as an academic lecturer and three years as a marketing manager at MSC Business College in Benoni.

Sibisi said the book is targeted at goal-driven individuals who want to improve their lives through positive thinking. It focuses on the link between the mind and the body as they relate to positive thinking. The Power of Mind illustrates to readers how they can use their intellectual capacity to improve, achieve and model their happiness and success.

“The book aims to change the reader’s mind and awareness on viewing things differently. What a person wishes and prays for is actually answered when he complements his prayers with his thoughts and actions.

“The Power of Mind is an approach to having an optimistic outlook in any situation. It employs the state of mind to continue to seek, find and execute ways to win, regardless of circumstances. It opposes negativity, defeatism and hopelessness,” he says.

Dr Honours Mukhari, the national elective member of Progressive Professional Forum, gets his copy of the book from Bongane Isaac Sibisi.

“I was an honourable member of the Gauteng Legislature Youth Parliament from 2014 to 2016. I am currently the secretary general for Midrand Youth in Business.

“I am also a Gauteng provincial leader for Progressive Professional Forum, an executive director at Lustre Academy (section 21 school, specialising in maths and science) and the managing director at Digs Group Holdings, a group company that specialises in business development, team building, motivational speaking, events management, electricity and civil construction,” said Sibisi

Sibisi also broke down barriers of doubt by cycling more than 1 600km from Johannesburg to Cape Town, as many people said it was impossible.
