Gifts wanted for children in white squatter camps

On top of this, they hope to provide 55 families with a food parcel

Solidarity Helping Hand Kempton Park is planning a Christmas function for 140 children in white squatter camps.

“We would love to provide every child with a gift, as for some children this will be the only gift they receive this year,” said project leader Hester Booysen.

The children’s ages vary from baby to 16, girls and boys.

“We would like to also give them with a sweets packet, a day filled with fun, entertainment and games to brighten their lives.”

Booysen said, in addition, they would love to give a gift of love to 100 elderly people.

On top of this, they hope to provide 55 families with a food parcel with the necessities to help them during the festive season.

All contributions would be appreciated. Items wanted include a toy (new or used in good condition), clothing (new and used), non-perishable food, toiletries and stationery.

For more information call Booysen on 082 315 8527 or 076 315 7099.
