Best detective in Gauteng is from Kempton Park SAPS
Kempton Park Police Station detective Lt Col Ntsaupa Mohale, received the best detective in Gauteng award.
Kempton Park Police Station was well represented at the Gauteng Excellence Awards at Emperors Palace on October 4.
One of the station’s detectives, Lt Col Ntsaupa Mohale, was awarded best detective in Gauteng during the ceremony.
Mohale deals with high profile cases such as murder and has had several convictions since joining the local police station in December 2018.
Kempton Park Police Station head of detectives Col Lesetja Manewa was thrilled with the award and congratulated Mohale on his achievement.
Mohale’s achievement was not the only award that put Kempton Park Police Station in the limelight, as the station’s client service centre was named the best in the Ekurhuleni cluster.
Out of the 41 stations in the cluster, the Kempton Park station came out tops with how it dealt with complaints and its response time to complaints, among other things.
“I am very happy and excited about the performance of the station and the detectives at the awards,” said Brig Samuel Maredi, Kempton Park SAPS station commander.
“We want to congratulate Lt Col Mohale for winning the award. This should serve as an example to junior members to be dedicated in their job.”
Mohale’s award has qualified him for the national awards and Maredi hopes he will get the national award.
