CHOC to host fund-raiser in Pomona
Cancer affects everyone, so people can show their support for children fighting the disease by attending the CHOC fund-raiser and fun day on November 2.

Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC) will host an event in aid of the organisation at Cafe Bridgewater in Pomona on November 2.
The event will feature live bands, food stalls, flea market stalls and jumping castles for the children. It starts at 10am and is free of charge, but raffle tickets will be sold for prizes to be won.
CHOC is South Africa’s only organisation offering extensive country-wide support for children with cancer and other life-threatening blood disorders and their families. Their broad support package for affected families includes parent-to-parent assistance, CHOC social worker therapy and practical support such as accommodation in a CHOC house.
Attendees can expect to enjoy a family day out with entertaining live rugby world cup final broadcast, while supporting the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation.
“The Kempton Park community’s support will be highly appreciated and contribute towards the fund-raising and help make a difference in the foundation,’’ Christelle Botha, the chief organiser, said.
