Miss Royalty finally crowned

Florence Kgwadi Mphago, Miss Royalty Queen, said they enjoyed themselves

TK Modelling hosted the grand finale of Miss Royalty 2019, were the finalists were crowned at the Ivory Park North Hall on October 05.

Founder of the pageant Charmaine Malele said she is thrilled that the pageant was successful as the journey started in March.

“We would like to thank everyone who came to witness the royal crowing of Miss Royalty. Our aim is to reduce teenage pregnancy, substance abuse within the youth and to keep children out of the streets.

“This pageant is also opening a good platform for other groups, such as the Red Devils, Umehluko, UVM Junior, Soul Rhythms, Twilight Teens and more, to perform or showcase their talent.

“We are also looking forward to attract sponsors for Miss Royalty 2020.”

Little Miss top six winners were Ofentse Ndaba (Miss Popularity), Ayanda Khumalo (Miss Confidence), Reamoleboga Maruma (Miss Personality), Owami Mnqinu (second princess), Achumile Sishuba (first princess), Nomaswazi Tsotetsi (queen).

Miss Mini Royalty top five winners were Nandine Dhangar (Miss Popularity first place), Nthabiseng Khumalo (Miss Popularity second place), Mokgetwa Twala (Miss Personality), Lethabo Baloyi (second princess), Lerato Manyaka (first princess), Lindokuhle Chokoe (Miss Mini Royalty Queen).

Miss Teen Royalty top four winners: Tshepiso Makgata (Miss Popularity), Kamogelo Malatjie (second princess), Akhona Sishuba (first princess), Erol Khoza (queen).

Miss Royalty Top three winners: Mirriam Bila (second princess), Malebo Malele (first princess and Miss Popularity), Florence Kgwadi Mphago (Miss Royalty Queen).

Malele extended her gratitude to Miss Teen Royalty 2018 Natasha Mokgaole and Miss Royalty 2018 Bianca Malatjie for being with them until the handing over and for being great ambassadors and inspiration to the contestants.

“This beauty pageant meant a lot to the models and it has taught them a lot more than modelling. It has given them knitting skills, designing with recycling objects, taught them the history of June 16 and the importance of giving back to the community.”

Florence Kgwadi Mphago, Miss Royalty Queen, said they enjoyed themselves. Even though the work was too much for them, they managed to pull through.

“Being crowned my first queen title means everything to me because being a queen is not an easy title, and it requires a lot of work.

“I still need support and courage from my community and my coach, Teekay Malele. I also want to thank my mom, Johanna Mphago, and my family for everything.”
