The Ekurhuleni Chief Whip, Clr Jongizizwe Dlabathi, has wished the matric class of 2019 the best in their final examination.
Speaking to the media in Tembisa, Dlabathi invited and encouraged the learners to opt for TVET colleges as their preferred choice of institutions for skills development.
“We would like to wish the Class of 2019 the best in their upcoming final examination. They must continue to work even harder because education is the only gateway to bigger things.
“As the caucus, we would like to encourage learners to stay focused because every minute, every hour and every day is important. They must not despair on the basis that they may have been disturbed or did not cover a certain amount of work. They must seize the opportunity by passing their matric,” said Dlabathi.
“South Africa and Tembisa need skilled people, such as engineers, boilermakers, construction workers and other technical skills. TVET colleges offer courses such as IT, motor mechanics, process plant operating and electrical engineering and many other courses that are key to stimulate and develop our economy.
“We want to retaliate our call to our learners to equally consider colleges to accumulate skills so they can either get employment or use those skills to create employment for others by starting their own businesses,” said Dlabathi.
The examination will officially start on October 16.
