Mrs Africa finalist donates shoes to schools in Ivory Park.
Thando Lamula-Shirinda, a 2019 Mrs Africa finalist, donated school shoes to Ebony Park Primary and JB Matabane Secondary School in Ivory Park on October 11.
On September 28, Lamula-Shirinda hosted a High Tea for Dignity through her education foundation, the Sui-Generis Foundation Trust, to raise funds for school shoes for the learners.
Lamula-Shirinda said some funds were raised for tertiary application fees for identified high-performing learners of Thandukwazi Secondary School.
“On October 11, my mandate was to deliver the shoes to the respective beneficiaries and hand over the raised funds.”

She was welcomed with open arms by all stakeholders, including the schools’ principals, educators and school governing body (SGB). While delivering the shoes, she was accompanied by her friend and community leader Koena Rammone and SGB members of Ebony Park Primary.
Lamula-Shirinda is passionate about education and giving back to her community.
She said that she was very grateful to Africa Pageants for giving her the platform to pursue her philanthropic calling.
“I am quite excited about my journey as a Mrs Africa finalist and look forward to the crowning ceremony on November 2, 2019, at the ACCP Hall in Pretoria.”
