Open day to be hosted at sewing school

Thusanang Sewing School will host an open day on October 26 from 9am to noon.

The school is situated at Kempton Park Methodist Church at 57 Van der Walt Street.

The school offers a basic sewing course at a very low cost to unskilled, unemployed women of our community and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016.

Thusanang is an upliftment outreach ministry of Kempton Park Methodist Church.

Rev Sam and Julie Griffiths, who started this ministry in 1996 in the basement of the church, attended the then celebrations.

The aim and purpose at Thusanang is to provide training for unemployed and unskilled women in the community, to enable them to become self-sufficient.
