OR Tambo Soncini Social Games to be held this weekend

The Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation will honour struggle icon and veteran OR Tambo with sporting games scheduled for this weekend.

Dubbed the OR Tambo Soncini Social Games, this fun-filled sporting day will be held at the Germiston Stadium from Saturday until Sunday.

These games, which are championed by the MEC for this department, Mbali Hlophe, will be made up of teams from within the Gauteng province.

Even though the official opening ceremony will be held on Saturday at 6pm, games will kick-off on Saturday morning.

On Sunday, games will start at 9am and continue until 1pm, the closing ceremony is scheduled for 1.30pm.
