‘Machine Gun preacher’ to visit Lofdal in Glen Marais on Saturday (video)
Childers urged the faithful to bring along friends and family, and anyone they might know
The legendary Machine Gun Preacher, as Sam Childers is affectionately known, will be a guest speaker at Lofdal Bikers Church in Glen Marais (26 Rietfontein Road) on Saturday at 10am. There is no fee charged to attend the event.
Past Tienie Wessels said Childers would talk about his preaching adventures in the film Machine Gun Preacher, and his preaching among bikers worldwide.
“This is definitely an event that’ll be more than worth attending as I believe it will be soul-enriching,” Wessels said.
In his tour’s promotional video, Childers said: “We’re going to have about 10 days of meetings around the Johannesburg area. I know it’s going to be an awesome time.”

The film was released in 2011. It tells the story of his conversion to Christianity and the prophecy by a pastor that he would go to Africa to spread the Word of God.
