Christ Embassy Tembisa Teens Ministry targets the youth’s mindset

The programme was targeted at certain age groups from 15 to 21 years

Christ Embassy Tembisa Teens Ministry hosted the Glory to God Fire for your Future 2019 programme for youth empowerment in Ivory Park Extension Two the church hall on October 27.

The programme catered for children in the form of fun activities especially designed for their young minds.

The event proceeded to a church service with Siphiwe Tsheu coordinating the children’s activities. The pastor joined in for prayers and the presentation which was aimed at the youth. He touched on several matters affecting the youth and finding possible solutions to their stumbling blocks, including how to pass their matric.

Past Anthony Chukwuemeka said the programme kicked off with a powerful one-hour street parade which made a few stops in several areas around Ivory Park, with the destination being Christ Embassy Tembisa Church for a final round up of the parade just before the actual programme.

“Large quantities of Rhapsody of Realities were distributed during the parade and many were excited and inspired to receive the copies,” said Chukwuemeka.

“The programme was targeted at certain age groups from 15 to 21 years. We are coming to the end of the year and we need to direct the minds of our youths in the right directions,” said Chukwuemeka.

Siphiwe Tsheu, communications director, said the main programme began with prayer and they received the word with so much zeal and readiness of mind with their man of God ministering to them on important aspects that a younger person can implement in order to be successful.

“Pastor said the first thing you must do as a young person is to get rid of fear. Secondly, know the Word of God for yourself.

“He also said that as a young person enjoy criticism because those who do not like you can never be ahead of you. He said to be careful of the kind of friends you keep and dare to dream,” said Tsheu.
