Gospel choir performs at children’s orphanage
Audience member Dumisani Skosana said he attended the show to forget his troubles and enjoy the angelic voices.
YY Fam Production joined the Ingqayizivele Gospel Choir in praise with Temple of God (TOGO) at Ikhaya Lothando Children Orphanage Centre on October 27.
According to the organisers, the production does events within the clap-and-tap genre to promote and educate other about choral music and performers.
Organiser Jeff Nguse said they promote the talented but less recognised choirs at these events, which are meant to unite choristers from different places and their supporters.
“The other aim is to bring supporters their favourite choirs right to their doorstep. We aim to grow this genre and make it recognisable like other big genres,” said Nguse.
“This event was a success. People came from all over Gauteng to support the show between Ingqayizivele Gospel Choir, also known as Zing Fam from Tembisa, and Temple of God, also known as TOGO, from Vosloorus.
“Zing is a new choir. It’s the new sensational group of young charismatic singers with so much talent within, and TOGO is the more known and seasoned choir from Vosloorus. Put these two choirs in one hall you will have a successful show that is full of praise and worship,” said Nguse.
Audience member Dumisani Skosana said he attended the show to forget his troubles and enjoy the angelic voices.
“Music has that thing of healing a broken soul. The past weekend Ingqayizivele GC aka the Zing Family didn’t disappoint us as their loyal local supporters,” said Skosana.
“By the way it was my birthday day, so it was celebrated in style by attending the show. They made me feel like I could join them on the stage,” said Skosana.
