Tembisan photographer nominated for best photography award

Tembisa photographer aims to win Live Your Dreams SA Youth Best Photographer Award.

Sibusiso Mazibuko, a professional photographer, encouraged the community of Tembisa to vote for him in the prestigious nomination in the Live Your Dream Youth Awards.

He is nominated for the Best Photographer Award in the Live Your Dream Youth Awards to be held in November. Mazibuko worked his way into people’s hearts with his ways of capturing the world around him.

Mazibuko is a young creative photographer who has made a name for himself in the industry as professional photographer, and goes by the name of Camchild.

He was born and raised in Tembisa and finished school at Tembisa High School. His love and passion started when he joined a media club called Press Team Club, since then he never looked back in pursuing photography.

He studied filming, television and photography at Academy of Television and Screen Arts (ATV). He then gained more knowledge in the media and film industry after he worked for few production companies, such as SABC and Brainbow Conscious Creative, just to mention a few.

Mazibuko says photography was just a hobby at first, until he started serving at church as a photographer and made income of it.

“It helped me to dust off and polish my skills, and nurture my talents,” said Mazibuko.

Sibusiso is a young man who works hard to accomplish his goals, believing God is the author of his life.

“What I enjoy about this passion is capturing beautiful moments and objects through the lens. I am not limited to photography only, but I am also into filming, cinematography, location sound and directing.

“I was just eager to learn, serve, work and become a better version of myself and be the best at what I do, which is photography and videography.”

He encouraged the people of Tembisa to help him win the prestigious Live Your Dream Youth Best Photographer Award by sending “LYD638” in a SMS to 45633.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Durban Playhouse on November 30.

“I would like to motivate or encourage young people to never disregard their talents or passion because they will one day benefit from them,” said Mazibuko.
