Help local cricket team to collect food for SPCA

The team aims to collect 50 bags of dog food and hand it over to the society on Sunday

Avion Park Cricket Club’s chairperson’s team appeals to the community to assist them to collect for Kempton Park SPCA.

The team aims to collect 50 bags of dog food and hand it over to the society on Sunday, December 1.

Prior to Sunday, people are welcome to bring their donations to Cyber Saloon on 132 Monument Road in Aston Manor.

“Alternatively, people can also bring their donations to Barnard Stadium on Sunday when the team plays against old rivals Kempton Park Cricket Club,” said Dick van Loggerenberg.

“We invite everyone to support us during the game and also bring along their bag of dog food for a worthy cause. The game will start at 11am and they can also join our traditional bring and braai after the game.

“We will supply the braai, wood and bread rolls and you bring your own meat.”
