Girls of Grace Foundation raises funds

Foundation raises funds for sanitary pads underprivileged girls.

The Girls of Grace Foundation (NPO) hosted its first fundraising event through their initiative Keep A Girl Child in School Pads Drive at the Disciples Ark ministry situated in Moriting Section, Tembisa on November 23.

The organisation donates sanitary towels to a variety of schools in Tembisa for use by disadvantaged girls, but not only do they donate, but they also motivate and provide mentorship to the girls to help them take a step further towards their dreams.

Tshegofatso Topola, founder of Girls of Grace Foundation said they focus on girls from different ages who have no access to access to sanitary towels and motivates them through their mentorships programmes which also includes face to face daily life discussion about daily challenges.

Tshegofatso Topola, Tsakane Mabasa, Presley Jacobs and Banele Ngcobo from the Girls of Grace Foundation.

“We are looking to expand to other provinces because the aim is to reach as many people as possible. We are trying to decrease the rate of drop-outs in schools,” said Topola.

“We have drop-off points at churches around Tembisa, Tower of Grace International in Makhulong and at Praise Miracle Centre in Difateng. We have the different points as we are including all the different churches to contribute into one organisation trying to make a difference in the society we live in,”

“We the team of Grace Foudation would like to thank everyone who is supporting us and every organisation that helps us spread the message and the community paper The Tembisan for being part of the change that we want to see in our community,” concluded Topola.

The foundation also have activities for all ages which includes; Capture the Flag, Apple Game, Blind Man Walks and for the adults the activities also included; Blind Man Walks, Capture the Flag and Built It to mention a few.
