Getting to know the new Miss Tembisa
Matinketsa won her first beauty pageant title in 2015 when she was crowned Miss Teen Tembisa.
Dressed in a navy dress and a pair of yellow heels, newly crowned Miss Tembisa 2019/20 Mohau Matinketsa is not just a bomb on the modelling ramp, but is a natural behind the camera as well.
That’s not all, this eye-catching beauty queen is not just a pretty face but possesses a beautiful soul as well.
The Tembisan had the privilege of spending some time with her and getting to know her more.
During the interview, she quickly explained that she wants to grow with the Miss Tembisa brand, change and inspire more lives through her many community initiatives in the pipeline during her reign.
“The role I want to play during my reign is that of motivating others to carry themselves as young women, having direction and going for their dreams. Through this crown, I intend touching and changing other people’s lives. I come from a background that has celebrated my success and through that many young people have been motivated to do and be more. I hope to inspire many more young girls out there,” she said.
She says the crown is going to make her a better person who cares and puts the interests of others first.
“I feel I have been given an opportunity to bring change and hope and this is what I intend on doing through this crown,” she said.
The 20-year-old from the dusty streets of Tlama Tlama Section says she was born a leader and hopes to put these qualities to good use during her reign.
“As a little girl growing up in the township I used to model around the house, dreaming of becoming something great. So it was always a goal of mine to become a leader and now this is my chance to prove my capabilities,” said Matinketsa.
