Welamlambo Aftercare learners receive food parcels for the holidays

Parcels are distributed to learners before the school holidays.

Peermont Children’s Trust, a Peermont Global Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme, supported by Emperors Palace, recently visited the aftercare centres it supports in Ekurhuleni to distribute food parcels to learners to keep them nourished during the school holidays.

One such centre is Welamlambo Primary School Aftercare Centre in Tembisa.

It’s the festive season and while a lot of people look forward to going on holiday and enjoying extravagant meals with family and friends, there are many who are not so fortunate.

In an effort to make sure the children who attend these aftercare centres at least have food during the December school holidays, the trust handed food parcels to these learners before the holidays began.
