Unplugged Art Movement (UAM) hosted Jam Session at Motswako Life Style Lounge on November 24.
UAM aims to revive the art industry through Jam Sessions, music workshops and art exhibitions.
Bonginkosi Maseko, founder of UAM, said for now they are still focusing on Jam Sessions.
“The main focus of the movement is to revive art in our economies and to create an environment for the next generations to be able to tell their parents that they want to do art without condemnations.
“The movement aims to give a platform for performers in music, poetry, dance, visual arts and so on for them to be free and able to express their talents,” said Maseko.
“The event went well, it even went beyond what we expected. You couldn’t even tell that it was the first event we hosted because of the great numbers we received. We had musicians from Kahlehong, Eden Park, Thokoza and Benoni who wanted to be a part of the Jam Session.
“More events are coming and updates will be on Facebook at Unplugged Art Movement,” said Maseko.
