Tembisa’s stage 2 load shedding schedule for Saturday
The system remains tight with unplanned breakdowns remaining above 12 000MW
Stage 2 load shedding will continue on Saturday until 11pm as Eskom still battles to generate enough electricity.
The entity reverted back from stage 4 to stage 2 at 11pm on Friday evening.
The system remains tight with unplanned breakdowns remaining above 12 000MW. Due to the rain Eskom also experiences coal-handling problems at a number of its power stations as a result of wet coal.
Eskom said stage 4 load shedding is no cause for alarm as the system is being effectively controlled. During stage 4, 80 per cent of the country’s demand is still being met.
The Tembisa schedule for December 7 is:
