Another day of stage 2 load shedding: Sunday’s schedule

There is not an indication yet as to whether the grid will be back to normal when the work week starts on Monday

With unplanned breakdowns leaving Eskom still with a shortage of 11 600MW at 7pm on Saturday evening, the entity will continue with stage 2 load shedding on Sunday from 9am to 11pm.

At 11pm on Saturday, the entity downgraded from stage 2 to stage 1 for the rest of night until 9am on Sunday morning. At 9am on Sunday the entity will up the rolling blackouts to stage 2. This is expected to last until 11pm on Sunday evening.

There is not an indication yet as to whether the grid will be back to normal when the work week starts on Monday.

7.30am to 10.30am: Geyser ripple control

10am to 1pm: Bredell, Pomona, Glen Marais Extensions (49, 52, 89 & 98), Serengeti, Brentwood Park, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Parts of Kempton Park Ext 2 & Ext 4

12.30am to 3.30pm: Kempton Park CBD, Kempton Park Extensions, Croydon, Cresslawn, Rhodesfield, Kelvin Estate and Esther Park

3pm to 6pm: Birchleigh, Birchleigh North, Glen Erasmia, Kaalfontein, Esselen Park and Esselen Park Extensions

5.30pm to 8.30pm: Geyser ripple control

8pm to 11pm: Glen Marais, Allen Grove, Norkem Park, Birchleigh Extensions and Bonaero Park
