Stage 4 load shedding continues on Tuesday – your schedule

Tembisans will have to deal with another day of rolling blackouts as Eskom continues with stage 4 load shedding.

Eskom had to revert to stage 6 load shedding on Monday evening as the power supply to the incline conveyers feeding coal to the silos at Medupi Power Station failed. Technical teams have worked around the clock and coal handling operations have resumed.

As a result stage 6 load shedding stopped at 10pm and stage 4 was introduced at 11pm.

Jabu Mabuza, Eskom’s acting group chief executive an interim executive chairman, said they were grateful to large power users for their invaluable assistance on Monday.

Stage 4 load shedding will continue until 11pm on Tuesday.
