Evening of worship at Ivory Park

The mandate of the event was carried through and everyone was happy

Lejotal Events presented the third annual Evening of Worship at Ivory Park Extension Two at New Beings Church on December 8.

Organiser Maropeng Mokobane said despite the challenges of load-shedding, they did not cancel the event and resorted to connecting a generator, which made electricity the least of their problems.

“People started dropping out, and others left due to the event not starting on time. But, through all the ups and downs and despite all the challenges, my team and I pulled through and the event became a success.

“The mandate of the event was carried through and everyone was happy. The main aim of the event was to gather Christians and non-Christians under one roof and enjoy a praise and worship through the ministry of music. Our theme for every year is ‘Let’s Worship Together’ regardless of coming from different churches and denominations.

“The aim is to just have fun and be blessed in the process. We had Andries Mola, Anabel Nketane, Mantombi Kitzeal, Mpour Khalishi, Thabile Phoku and Nkateko on the line-up.”
