Stage 2 load shedding continues – Thursday’s schedule

No load shedding was required overnight as water reserves at Eskom's pumped storage schemes had been sufficiently replenished.

Stage 2 load shedding will resume at 9am on Thursday after it was terminated at 11pm last night.

Today’s rolling blackout will continue until 11pm.

No load shedding was required overnight as water reserves at Eskom’s pumped storage schemes had been sufficiently replenished.

While good progress has been made with additional units being returned to service, stage 2 load shedding is still necessary as breakdowns are still above 9500MW.

Kempton Park’s schedule for Thursday, December 12:

7.30am to 10.30am: Geyser ripple control

10am to 1pm: Kempton Park CBD, Kempton Part Extensions, Croydon, Cresslawn, Rhodesfield, Kelvin Estate and Esther Park

12.30am to 3.30pm: Birchleigh, Birchleigh North, Glen Erasmia, Kaalfontein, Esselen Park and Esselen Park Extensions

3pm to 6pm: Glen Marais, Allen Grove, Norkem Park, Birchleigh Extensions and Bonaero Park

5.30pm to 8.30pm: Geyser ripple control

8pm to 11pm: Birch Acres, Terenure, Edleen, Van Riebeeck Park, Kempton West
