Young girl killed in early morning accident in Van Riebeeck Park
The teenager was a passenger in the car
A teenage girl, believed to be 18 years old, died in an accident in Van Riebeeck Park in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Flowers at the scene of the accident were the only testimony on Saturday of the fatal accident which changed many lives in split seconds.
Two other people were injured and transported to hospital by Emer-G-Med.

According to Stefan Henderson of Sec Pros Security, the accident happened shortly after midnight at the intersection of De Wiekus Road and Blackthorne Street close to Hoërskool Jeugland.
The teenager was a passenger in the car. The driver of the car she was in, a 27-year-old woman, was also injured and taken to hospital, said Henderson.
The passenger in the other car was also transported to hospital.
No further information is available at this stage.
