Samantha Moyo to take over the pageant world
Miss and Mr Blueberry Modelling Agency hosted its first pageant.

Samantha Moyo (19) has big plans for the modelling world as the founder of Miss and Mr Blueberry Modelling Agency that recently held its first annual pageant at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre on December 1.
Moyo completed matirc in 2018 and soon started the agency, which she said mainly focuses on building or grooming young girls to become more confident.
“I aim to work with young girls and help them pass through difficulties and allow them to showcase their talent, while building confidence in them to be on stages and take ownership of their true beauty.
“Growing up, I was once molested, and, from that experience, I always wanted to have an agency like Blueberry to uplift and motivate others.
“What keeps me going is the pain I have endured. It keeps me motivated to go forward. I do not want to see someone else struggle. At one point, I had to go the extra mile to buy six of my contestants dresses so they could participate in the pageant.”
In the recent pageant, Moyo had to also buy every contestant T-shirts to participate in.
The pageant was a success and saw Melisizwe Nkosi crowned as king and Lesihla Motloung as first prince. The ladies’ senior category crowned Jacqueline Kekae as queen, and Malebo Malele as first princess.
In the teens’ male category, Akhona Sishuba was crowned king, Yamkela Mabandla was first prince and Kamogelo Malatjie was second prince. In the female category, Lindokuhle Chokoe was crowned queen, Nosipho Macingwane first princess and Bonolo Hutla was second princess.
