Tembisan female guns for Mamelodi Sundowns pageant in hopes to be crowned queen next year.

Ofentse Mosima Sibiya was recently crowned a Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Gauteng Princess 2019/2020.

The 23-year-old was born and raised in Tembisa, is a BCom Law student majoring in accounting is currently an English and natural science teacher.

Sibiya said her vision for her reign is to motivate and inspire women to be more involved in football, not just being behind the camera or on the field.

“Women must start to become more involved in the technical teams and scouting for new players. South Africa is ranked number 13 in African football, which is a reminder that we need to focus more on developing new players and skills.

“I will be promoting more development programmes for young boys and girls within townships, especially when it comes to goal-scoring and ball control.

“I started the first and only female South African football YouTube channel, Ofentse ‘Fenya’ Sibiya, broadcasting the three major football leagues in South Africa – PSL, GladAfrica League and ABC Motsepe League.

The Gauteng princess automatically becomes a finalist for next year’s main Miss Mamelodi Sundowns finale as she will be competing against other females from all nine provinces to determine who the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns queen will be.
