Controlled access parks now open to public Dries Niemandt and Blaauwpan now open

Kempton Park’s Dries Niemandt Park and Blaauwpan Dam are among the City of Ekurhuleni’s controlled access community parks that are now open and ready to welcome members of the public.

Following the president’s announcement of the country’s move to Level 2, all park goers can now enjoy the use of the city’s parks.

However, residents are urged to follow the strict Covid-19 rules of always maintaining social distance, wearing of cloth masks and regularly sanitising or washing hands.

The access-controlled parks will operate from 6am to 6pm daily. Security guards at the gate will monitor and manage the number of people entering the parks to avoid overcrowding.

• Bokkie Park
• Gillooly’s Farm
• Bulithando Multi-Purpose Park
• Barcelona Regional Park
• Germiston Lake
• Alberton Dam
• Nomathamsanqa Multi-Purpose Park
