SAPS holds prayer session in Thembisa

Several stakeholders were invited to participate in the initiative, including the Thembisa Transformation Forum and the Civil Society Forum.

On March 25, Captain Masilo Mabelebele, together with the Thembisa Police Station management and various faith-based organisations, gathered at the Rabasotho Community Center in Thembisa.

Their aim was to pray for a safe Easter holiday season, smooth road safety, family gatherings, and the upcoming elections.

Several stakeholders were invited to participate in the initiative, including the Thembisa Transformation Forum, Civil Society Forum, Community Police Forum Exclusive, and representatives from the Electoral Commission.

Bishop Mike Mtshali introduced everyone present and each person was given an opportunity to address the congregation. The pastors then led the congregation in worship.

Brigadier Cyril Nkuna, the newly appointed Thembisa Station Commander, welcomed and introduced himself to the congregants.

He expressed his joy at being welcomed with prayer in almost all the police stations where he had served. He always prays and asks for only one thing – wisdom to help from God.

The pastors prayed for the Thembisa police management and its members.

They asked God to arm the station commander with bravery, to prevent the premature loss of any member, to prevent corruption within the team, to provide them with more resources to accomplish their call of duty, and to receive more support from the community.

Almost 90 people attended the event.
