Once again it is with horror and shock that I read on the front page news of an incident at the “esteemed” Arwyp Private Hospital in our city.

Equally, the response by Chantell Rudolph (Arwyp) is sickening, to say the least.

Rudolph, do you have children? How would you feel being in that parent’s shoes with a very ill child, R17 000 in your pocket and being treated like this?

Arwyp, clearly by admission in the press, now values their enormous profits above the well being of their clients and all human life.

The explanation by their CEO as to their objection to reopening Kempton Park Hospital, where Otto Wypkema drew parallels between hospitals and hamburger outlets, was to say the least, total trash. Mr Wypkema, the public are not idiots.

Clearly the proverbial wheels are coming off at the single, monopolising private hospital in Kempton Park, affecting the well being of all inhabitants of Kempton Park.

It simply means that medic legal suits and litigation against this money grabbing institute must now be the route the public takes and I urge all to do this in cases such as the one reported on in Express.

It also means competition is clearly needed.

The issue of reopening Kempton Hospital is at hand and I would like to hear the views publicly of the DA, more especially that of Mike Waters, DA shadow minister of health and MP for Kempton Park.

Clearly Arwyp still fiddles as Rome blazes.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
